It grows in windy alpine grasslands and signals the coming of autumn.
Habitat: Alpine meadows, Tsurugaike trail, Mt. Fujimi-dake, near Ken-ga-mine trailhead, along Skyline
Note: Along the Skyline near Mt. Daikoku-dake, these flowers can be enjoyed at eye level.
