Alpine Bellflower (Iwa-gikyō)
Campanula lasiocarpa
A perennial plant found in alpine rocky areas and gravelly ground, it flowers from July to September. A similar species, the Chishima-gikyō (Campanula chamissonis), is distinguished by the hairs on its corolla and its glossy leaves.
