Alpine Knotweed (Ontade)
Aconogonon weyrichii var. alpinum
A perennial plant found in sandy, gravelly, or landslide-prone areas of the alpine zone, it blooms from July to September. It is dioecious, with the red flowers and fruits appearing on the female plants. This is an endemic species of Japan.
